Anastasia’s Background

Originally from Tula, Russia, Anastasia started to make clothing when she was 14.

She expanded her skill set and graduated from Moscow State University’s Fashion Design and Marketing program where she soon landed a highly coveted position as an assistant to a distinguished wedding dress designer. It was here that she learned the art of couture and developed her artistry.

Anastasia arrived in the United States in 2006 and made Sacramento her home. She navigated learning all about American culture while diving head-first into making a name for herself in the fashion industry.

She launched her own contemporary couture line featuring classic Russian folk style blended with American textiles. Her high-end custom pieces are intricately hand-loomed using vibrant, rich, natural fibers. While also been showing her collections  since 2012 at Sacramento Fashion week, New York Fashion week, and many other shows.

In 2015, Anastasia had an opportunity to be part of the wardrobe department team for the movie 'Trouble Sleeping’. She worked with the movie’s Costume Designer, Camille Jumelle, where the lead actress Vanessa Angel wore her dress for one of the scenes.

In 2017, she worked as a Costume Designer, produced by Mark S Allen,  for the horror film "APParition" with featured actors such as Kevin Pollak, Mena Suvari, Jon Abrahams.

Anastasia is currently working with local Sacramento news hosts Bethany Crouch (Good Day Sacramento) and Mark S Allen (ABC10 ) to make sure they look amazing every single day. She is continue working as a Costume Designer for movies, TV pilots, and music concerts.

In the midst of fashion shows, special movie projects, and creating custom couture pieces for select clients, she saw the need for affordable, eco-friendly, chic wear that doesn’t cost a fortune. She knows that busy, American women need clothes that work just as hard as they do. So, in February 2020, Anastasia created Be AK Couture to blend craftsmanship, style, affordability, and sustainability into versatile, day-to-night pieces with just the right amount of edge.

Her Resort Collection designs that are featured in this shop flatter any body shape and can be dressed up or dressed down.

Each piece is hand-sewn using low-maintenance, sustainable fabrics.

No ironing, dry cleaning, or the annoying fabric pilling you get with cotton. Just put it on and look great all day and well into the night.

Her designs blend well-made, boutique style with department store affordability.

Your Be AK Couture tops and dresses will be the go-to pieces in your closet for years to come.
