Orchid is handwoven by the designer using a complex weaving technique, with approximately 30 hours of work in each dress. Acrylic yarn and thread build a sculptural, textured surface that is partially sheer: not transparent in the usual way, but held against the light, the weave reveals the silhouette of the body. It is designed to be worn over an underlayer.
